Coe Press Equipment Announces Recent Orders and Shipments of SpaceMaster Series Compact Coil Line

Coe Press Equipment Corporation, a leading producer of pressroom feed equipment, announces the installation of a recent order to Lear Corporation. Lear is one of the world’s leading automotive interior systems suppliers.

Coe has recently installed a SpaceMaster Series Compact Coil Line - Model No. CCL-S3-20032 at Lear Corporation, Roscommon, MI. The unit is installed on a Verson 500 ton press to upgrade their progressive die operations. The SpaceMaster Series is Coe's latest innovative solution that combines the three functions of unwinding, straightening and feeding into one compact machine. This arrangement provides optimum progressive die feeding operations and saves valuable floorspace.

The entire machine is rigidly mounted on a common machine base for maximum stability of the feeding operation. The coil reel is designed for constant payoff operations and is driven by an AC inverter duty motor. The precision feeder-straightener is driven by a closed-loop Yaskawa servomotor and drive package. The SpaceMaster Series provides true pilot-release functionality with a high-speed lift of the upper straightener rolls by an eccentric cam mechanism.

The CCL-S3-20032 is designed to process .125” thick x 28” wide HSLA material at yield strengths up to 75,000 PSI. The maximum material width of the machine is 32” and the maximum coil weight capacity is 20,000#. The machine is provided with efficiency enhancements such as motorized passline adjustment, motorized coil guide assembly, hydraulic traveling coil car and “hands-free” threading.
