Close-Coupled Coil-Feed Line
Coe Press Equipment Corporation’s SESCO Products Group now offers a new line of sophisticated close-coupled feed line systems that offer versatility for direct coil feeding of transfer presses.
In a stamping environment, SESCO Products Group’s (SPG) close-coupled coil-feed lines replace the need for destackers and reduce inventory by up to 1/3 by producing blanks straight from the coil. Material and labor savings are also increased by eliminating handling and possible scrap from damaged stacked blanks. These lines are designed to fit within the tight space constraints of an existing plant.
Close-coupled feed lines are capable of handling materials from 0.008” to 0.125” thick and running at 150 feet per minute with an 18” to 86” coil width.
SPG’s coil cars can move over a large distance to deliver coils from a crane bay to the processing line. Double end, single end and SPG’s twin mandrel un-coilers (capable of handling 80,000 lbs) all have the ability to traverse to the material centerline. SPG’s new single end un-coiler with an outboard support (capable of handling coils up to 75,000 lbs) also uses this unique traversing system.
SPG’s peeler/dekinker station and crop shear develop an excellent leading edge for threading. Coil strip washing and oiling can also be added to the system with SPG’s brush or brushless washers.
The SESCO Products Group also provides system integration and visual operator interfacing technology using standardized Allen-Bradley-based hardware/software solutions.
