The coil reel features an air operated coil hold-down arm as well as an air operated coil hold-up for threading. The combination feeder-straightener is driven by COE's new ServoMaster Touch™ controller with a touchscreen operator interface. Standard options with Spacemaster Coil lines include dual roll upper coil guide assembly with motorized positioning of the upper coil guide assembly, motorized passline height adjustment, and digital readout for the upper straightener rolls. Additionally, these compact systems each have a hydraulic traveling coil car with 25,000# capacity.
SpaceMaster Compact Coil Lines combine the three functions of unwinding, straightening, and feeding of coil stock into one machine to save valuable plant floorspace while providing optimum coil feeding efficiency with pilot release operation. The machines are rigidly mounted on a common machine base for maximum stability during the feeding process.
The coil lines were provided by COE Press Equipment while the 600-ton presses came from JIER. Cydak, located in Sao Paulo, Brazil, provided turnkey project management to Gestamp inclusive of equipment transport and installation.
