COE Press Equipment has recently shipped a coil processing line to Wisconsin for use in the manufacture of lawn and garden equipment. The new coil feed line can handle coil width up to 42-in. and coil weight up to 50,000-lbs. It is designed for processing high strength steels with 60,000 PSI yield from 0.040 to 0.250-in. thick and up to 0.312-in. thick with materials at 45,000 PSI yield. The roll speed rate can reach 296 feet/minute. The line consists of a COE Servo Roll Feed with a shear station, and stock oiler mounted on a shared cabinet base. The 42-in. power straightener features 5-in. diameter work rolls and 7-in. diameter pinch rolls for optimum straightening capability, as well as an Alligator Peeler-Dekinker station for easy threading and improved safety. The 50,000-lb. capacity coil reel can accommodate 72-in. diameter coils and is equipped with a hydraulic traveling coil car and remote job pendant. The line also has a 42-in. by 22-ft. threading table and features an Allen Bradly Compact GuardLogix® controls package with a free-standing console. A safety plan was also included that covers emergency stop, safety and press light curtain zones. Start-up and training were also provided by COE. This press feed line joins other COE Press Equipment lines at the same location. |
COE Press Equipment has recently shipped a coil processing line to Texas for feeding a 400-ton mechanical press. The stamping line is part of a flexible wrapper and control panel fabrication line producing 14 different sized air conditioning units. For this line the coil stock is fed into the press in variable increments as the louvers are stamped into the metal. The material being processed is .029-inch thick CRS.
The 48-inch wide COE line is equipped with non-marking chrome rolls and other features that make it capable of handling pre-painted grade 60 material at up to 60,000 PSI. It can process materials from 0.030-in. to 0.125-in. thick depending upon the width at up to 396 feet/minute. It is comprised of a ServoMaster™ Series 4 Roll Feed, a 42-in. x 18-ft. dual threading table, a 3.50-in. x 42-in. Power Straightener, and a 15,000# x 42-in. double ended coil reel. Additionally, it has COE's SYNCMaster™ controls, which allow the operator to manage many of the servo feed, straightener, and coil reel setups and functions from a single touchscreen. COE has also provided installation, startup and training. |
